Álvaro Uribe promised to lead the opposition of the Democratic Center in Congress

Next Monday, July 18, former President Álvaro Uribe will meet at 2 in the afternoon with the Democratic Center caucus to define how they will oppose the Government of Gustavo Petro. This meeting will be held two days before the inauguration of the Congress of the Republic.

At the meeting, Uribe will deliver a balance of the party in the outgoing Congress and the representatives and senators who will be installed on July 20 will be present.

On Tuesday, July 19, Uribismo will establish the lines that they will take in the government of the elected president. The Democratic Center has been the only party that has declared itself in opposition. In addition, that same day agreements will be reached for the party’s bills.

For his part, the senator-elect Andrés Guerra Hoyos affirmed that Uribe will be “the technician on the field” of democracy in the Democratic Center.

“Álvaro Uribe will be our coach on the field of democracy, Welcome always, in my case I am ready to be useful and not important, to fulfill from the locker room the task that the Democratic Center sets for me. I am loyal, consistent, combative primiparous. With faith intact ”, he pointed out on his Twitter account.
