MADRID, Spain.- The Cuban boy Álvaro Tadeo continues to advance in the La Voz Kids España contest and will be in the “assaults” phase next Saturday after overcoming the “battles” stage on June 10.
Tadeo, 13, was chosen by his coach, the Spanish singer Aitana, to continue in his team after the performance, along with two other children, of “Your Song”, by the British musician Elton John.
“Going through the ‘battles’ means a lot to me and my family. (…) It is a great step in my musical career and a great personal achievement, ”said the boy, who stands out for his seriousness and voice reminiscent of the American Frank Sinastra.
Precisely with the song “The way you look tonight”, by Sinastra, he managed to turn the judges around in the “blind auditions”.
“I don’t think there is a voice like Álvaro in this program. It is different, but different with quality. (…) Congratulations my brother”, the popular Spanish singer David Bisbal, a member of the jury, told him.
For her part, Rosario Flores said: “The voice she has is spectacular. Álvaro seems to me that it is a record when he sings, that it is equalized. (…) I don’t believe that you are the one who is singing”.
Álvaro Tadeo will compete next week in the “rounds”, so he will be just one step away from the semifinals of the program.
Eleven-year-old Cuban Miguel Sánchez had also reached this stage, who convinced David Bisbal in the blind auditions with his interpretation of the song “Where is life”, by the renowned Cuban singer-songwriter Francisco Cespedes.
Although he received a lot of praise for his performance this Saturday, he was not the one chosen by David Bisbal to move on to the next phase in his team.
