The Union of electrical companies asks to nationalize the shares of Edesur
The general secretary of the Association of Senior Personnel of Energy Companies (Apsee), Carlos Minucci reiterated the need for the State to nationalize the Edesur concession “and take over the service to put it back on its feet”.
“Us We contribute our grain of sand, which is to raise a draft law so that the Edesur concession is nationalized and the State takes over the service to put it back on its feet,” Minucci told Télam Radio.
He pointed out that “in these days of intense heat we have suffered cuts and there has been no supply.”
“We have major power outages, substations and power stations that are down, cables that cannot withstand the temperature,” said the union leader.
assured that “This is the product of 30 years of privatization until today where there was no investment, they dedicated themselves to financial scams and not to fix the electrical service”.
He considered that “this is going to have to be reversed”, and considered that “one of the points that any government that wants to take over in the future must have is what they are going to do with the electrical system”.
In this regard, he stressed that “it is impossible that in the 21st century every time it is hot or high temperatures or we lack energy or we lack gas”, and affirmed that “this has to have an end”.
“The workers want a company that complies with the service, that the workers work professionally and that we stop thinking so much about money and think much more about serving the people,” concluded Minucci.
