The recent results of the Social Pulse survey carried out by the National Administrative Department of Statistics (Dane) show the situation in which the citizens of 23 capital cities and metropolitan areas of the country find themselves.

Among the results of the survey, on the subject of food safetythe Dane showed that with the arrival of the pandemic, there are fewer and fewer households that can access 3 meals a day.
In March 2022 12,695,931 people ate twice a day. On the other hand, 722,533 had only 1 meal.
38,191,011 people in the country accessed 3 meals a day. This means 74% of the total population. The figure increased compared to February 2022, which reached a percentage of 70%.
When compared to the pandemic, the change is around 20 percentage points. By March before preventive isolation, andl 93.4% of the population had access to 3 meals a day.

Now, with respect to people who eat 1 meal a day, the percentage remained the same compared to March 2021with a result of 1.4%.
The Dane reported a considerable decrease in that population that only consumes two meals a day, being 24.6% of the total population. While for March 2021 it was 30%.
