Almeida attacks Ulloa on his return to the Participation Council

For the first time, after the fight for the Presidency of the Participation Council, the 7 councilors sit in plenary this Wednesday, March 9, 2022.

Before starting the session Council for Citizen Participation and Social Control (CPCCS), Sofia Almeida, dismissed from the Presidency on February 9 by the new majority, accused its members of there would be no transparent contests to elect authorities.

“These advisers are going to finger the authorities,” Almeida said while pointing his to Hernan Ulloa, appointed new President, and the three members who support him. He added that in the worst case, the strategy would be to lengthen the bidding process so that “keep your friends” in positions whose designation is the responsibility of the CPCCS.

The CPCCS pending the election of the new State Comptroller General, the members of the National Electoral Council (CNE), the director of the Judicial Council and the head of the Superintendence of Banks.
