With the aim of expanding job opportunities for Dominican youth, ManpowerGroup Dominican Republic and the American Dominican University (Unicda) signed this Wednesday a strategic agreement aimed at connecting the academy with the labor market and strengthen the professional training of young people.
According to a press release, the agreement was signed by Natalia Vasquez Guzmandirector in the country of ManpowerGroup Dominican Republicand Ramón Antonio Sosa Alcántararector and executive director of Unicda, during an event held in Santo Domingo.
Vasquez Guzman He pointed out that this alliance is part of the global mission of ManpowerGroup to connect talent with employment opportunities in a transparent and data-driven way.
“We are building a direct bridge between the academy and the labor marketwith the purpose that more young people can access quality jobs,” he expressed.
- Sosa Alcantara considered that the agreement represents a significant progress for the academic community of the Unicda.
“Through this collaborationour students will have access to practical experiencesrelevant information about the market and real opportunities of labor insertion,” he stated.
Actions contemplated
The note indicates that the agreement establishes a joint agenda which includes access to studies and analysis of the labor marketin order to strengthen the relevance of Unicda’s academic offering.
Likewise, it contemplates the priority publication of vacancies and job opportunities aimed at students and graduates, the carrying out of conferences and training programs taught by ManpowerGroup specialists in areas such as employability, leadership and digital transformation, as well as recruitment campaigns focused on young people trained at the institution.
