Through a joint statement, the UNACDMX said that the judge exceeded her limits by ignoring the human rights that assist the mayor, such as the fact that the temporary suspension of the position should have been justified, but it did not happen and the presumption of innocence was intentionally violated.
For this reason, the mayors demanded from the Council of the Judiciary of Mexico City, an exhaustive review of the proceeding of Judge Elma Maruri Carballo, that a strict rule of law be applied in Mexico City, without excessive judicial measures for any person and that the process faced by the mayor in Cuauhtémoc is not part of the political use of justice.
“We are hopeful that Mayor Cuevas will have an impartial justice process and that she will not be given a factional use just because she is an authority emanating from the opposition,” the document reads.
my absolute support @SandraCuevas_ . The precautionary measures imposed are clearly excessive and expose political persecution by the regime.

Through their social networks, the mayors of Álvaro Obregón, Miguel Hidalgo and Benito Juárez expressed their concern about the precautionary measures.
The suspension of @SandraCuevas_ of the position as mayor of #Cuauhtemoc evidence of unprecedented political persecution. They want to recover the bad way what the vote of the people did not give them, violating the principle of presumption of innocence. my full support to @SandraCuevas_
