During siesta hours this Wednesday, the Chamber of Deputies held its administrative court for the 2021-2022 period. On the occasion, Pedro Alliana, outgoing president of the Chamber of Deputies, handed over the command to Carlos María López, who will assume the board of directors from Friday, July 1.
Alliana thanked all her peers for their collaboration in being able to carry out her management over the last year. She highlighted the recognition of the Comptroller’s Office that qualified it as the best institution in terms of compliance with the provisions of the National Constitution.
“My thanks to each of my colleagues for these three years that I was as president of the Deputies. We have taken the commitment to great heights and I apologize for the mistakes I made with some colleagues. I only have gratitude and the best memories of the officials. This is my last year on camera. I wish the best of success to the deputy who will preside from now on”, he commented.
Carlos María López, the new president of the Chamber of Deputies, stated for his part that he is very happy with this political step.
“This is a great commitment, Deputy Alliana tried to carry it out in the best possible way. It is a great responsibility and commitment with the officials to whom I ask for the accompaniment. Political parties make the country. Ask each one for their accompaniment and that it be a year where we can work together, ”he said.
