Young man dies after shooting with the police in Consuelo de SPM

San Pedro de Macorís.- An alleged criminal was killed in the morning hours of this Sunday, when confronting the police officers who were following him in order to arrest him.
The incident occurred in the Los Maestros sector of the municipality of Consuelo in this province.
This is Adonis Keriyensi, better known as El Capó or 42, 37 years old, who lived in the aforementioned municipality and was actively wanted for different criminal acts.
He died while receiving medical attention at a local health center.
According to the preliminary report, police agents assigned to the Southeast Regional Subdirectorate of Criminal Investigations (Dicrim), while carrying out surveillance, located the suspect in the aforementioned municipality, proceeded to arrest him, but after noticing the police presence, he attacked the suspects. agents with a firearm he was carrying at the time.
“The agents saw the urgent need to respond to this attack, causing the injuries that later caused his death,” the Police said.
After the confrontation, a Taurus PT 92 brand pistol, 9mm caliber, illegible series, with a magazine and three cartridges for it, was seized from El Capó, which he carried without any type of documentation and which he used to confront the acting agents.
Likewise, a blue package containing police supplies from the Dicrim was seized.
According to the preliminary report, El Capo was actively wanted through arrest warrants Nos. 97-2023, 973-2023, 01856-2024 and 530-2023 for the commission of different criminal acts; among these, illegal possession of firearms, armed robbery, vehicle theft and homicide, among others.
