Santo Domingo.- The Public Ministry, the Federal Bureau of Investigation of the United States (FBI), the National Drug Control Directorate (DNCD), the Specialized Port Security Corps (Cesep) continued the investigations on the luxurious yacht on Saturday flying foxowned by a Russian tycoon, who is being held in the Don Diego port of the Colonial City in Santo Domingo.
Starting at 8:00 in the morning, these organizations began an inspection of all the facilities of the modern cruise ship, which draws the attention of people who move along Francisco Caamaño Deñó Avenue (Port Avenue), due to its beauty and large size.

The participating agents maintain a great deal of secrecy to give information and the security of the aforementioned port has established restrictive measures, to the point that they verbally assaulted the journalists who tried to approach the place. According to an active source, who participated in the inspection of the Flying Fox, the inspection was carried out by prosecutors and agents from the DNCD, the FBI and Cesep.
In the morning hours, the members of these institutions reviewed the compartments of the boat in search of evidence of money laundering, arms trafficking and other illicit activities.
Cruise ship personnel were doing maintenance work, cleaning railings and connecting hoses.
Around noon, the agents were observed leaving with a suitcase and moving to Puerto Don Diego, which is connected to the place where the luxurious ship is anchored.
The acting agents were also captured leaving from inside the ship with a Heurisis scanner, which is used to check the bulkheads, hulls and holds of ships using x-rays; to detect drugs, money and hidden holes.
At least five representatives of the Attorney General’s Office (PGR) and dozens of agents from the aforementioned institutions are involved in the operation.
The yacht remains anchored in Dominican territory at the request of an investigation by the United States, as it is owned by a Russian oligarch.
The raid on the Flying Fox boat began on Friday, in search of evidence on alleged money laundering and arms trafficking.
The order for the search is number 0094-March-2022, issued by the Coordination of the Investigating Courts of the National District, on the afternoon of March 31.
The investigative body made the request under formal legal cooperation carried out by the United States under the international agreements to fight crime and crime, signed by the Dominican Republic.
This week security was reinforced around the mega yacht owned by a Russian tycoon, who entered the country on March 13 and is being held in the Don Diego port in the Dominican capital.
The ship is owned by Russian tycoon Dmitry Kamenshchik. While other units were moving from one end to the other on the Ozama River and by land, the military did not allow anyone to get close.
The Flying Fox arrived at the Don Diego port from La Romana with the purpose of refueling, but was held in place, due to a request made to the Dominican Republic by the United States Government.
