A plane cTwo pilots and 6 passengers crashed on the morning of this Monday, November 21, in the Rosales neighborhood of Medellínnear the Olaya Herrera airport.
The aircraft that covered the Medellín-Pizarro route in the department of Chocó, fell on a house in the residential sector.
“Taking off reports engine failure, unable to return to Olaya Herrera airport“said the mayor of Medellín.
“I heard when the plane went down in a dive and the sound of the engine. Everything exploded and people began to scream and everything was orange. The windows fell out, there was debris and everything was hot. I looked out and saw that there was a fire, I took things courage and I got out,” says Samuel Cuervo, a neighbor of the place where the plane fell.

The balance is tragic. The two pilots and the 6 passengers died at the moment of impact.
Among the deceased is Nicolás Jiménez, manager of the airline San Germán. The list of all fatalities is still unknown.
The house where the aircraft crashed she was unoccupied at the time. There are 7 homes and 6 three-story buildings with structural damage, in addition to the risk of collapse of another nearby structure. The area is evacuated.

To attend to the emergency, the authorities indicated that there are closures and they must take alternate routes.
“The Medellín Mobility Secretariat recommends that citizens take alternate routes due to the closure of Carrera 70 between Calles 31 and 30 A to attend to the emergency“, they explained.
People going North-South can take Carreras 66B, 78 and 80 and those going South-North can take Carreras 76 and 65.
