São Paulo dawned with cloudy weather and rain this Sunday (2), the All Souls’ Day holiday. According to the CGE SP (Emergency Management Center), the weather will continue to be rainy and very humid throughout the day, with intermittent rainfall and significant volumes, with the potential for waterlogging of the soil, with the formation of flooding and landslides in risk areas. The maximum temperature does not exceed 22°C and air humidity will be above 70%.Trend for the next few days
The weather remains unstable, with a lot of clouds and little sun in the morning on Monday (3). The rains will gain strength again in the afternoon, with the possibility of flooding. At night there should be no rain. The predicted minimum temperature is 17°C and the maximum is 24°C.
On Tuesday (4), the sun appears between many clouds and the temperature rises little by little. However, between the beginning and end of the afternoon, there is the potential for isolated and short-lived rain. Thermometers fluctuate between 18°C at dawn and 26°C in the early afternoon hours. According to information from the CGE, for now the city of São Paulo is under observation.
Cold front with rain
The Civil Defense of the State of São Paulo issued an alert for the occurrence of widespread rain this Sunday (2), due to the slow progression of a cold front that favors rain at any time of the day, with the possibility of more intense storms between the afternoon and evening.
Today, even with the removal of the cold front, the formation of a corridor of humidity coming from the Amazon will maintain the rainy pattern over the entire territory of São Paulo. As a result, there will be frequent and persistent rain showers, accompanied by electrical discharges, gusts of wind and accumulations that can reach moderate to high values in several regions.
“Civil Defense recommends increased attention in areas susceptible to landslides, flooding and falling trees, given the conditions favorable to occasional disturbances, especially in locations with risk areas”, he concludes.
