Santo Domingo.- The operations and technology departments of the RD Vial Trust reported that the Paso Rápido and cash payment services have been reestablished in all lanes of the Las Américas toll booth.
The rapid intervention of the technical teams of RD Vial solved in record time the damage caused to the equipment by a lightning bolt that struck the aforementioned toll booth on Saturday morning.
The director of RD Vial, Jean Luis Rodríguez, explained that “Multiple technical units intervened at the station to respond efficiently and in a timely manner to restore a vital service on one of the country’s main roads.”
“The priority will always be that citizens receive excellent service. Our technological equipment is protected; however, the magnitude of a natural phenomenon can exceed the capacity of human protection,” said Rodríguez.
