The Electoral Judge of Concepción (Santa Cruz), Ramón Quiroga, reported that all the material for the voting day is already in this municipality and its communities to guarantee the normal development of the elections on Sunday, August 17.
Quiroga explained that the material was sealed from the Military Aviation College in Santa Cruz, where it was previously prepared and reviewed by the logistics area. “Here the sealed suitcases come to us, we do not touch anything. They will only open on the day of the electoral act, in charge of the jurors,” he said.
Functions of the Electoral Jury
Each suffrage table will be composed of jurors, who have the responsibility of receiving the material, assembling the amphora, placing the signage and guaranteeing the correct development of the vote.
The Electoral Notary will deliver on Sunday, from 06:00, suitcases with tickets, minutes, pens, inks, security envelopes and other elements of the electoral process.
At the end of the day, the jurors must count the votes and fill minutes with the results, which will be protected in a security envelope. “That document is the most important thing, because it reflects the final result and is separated from the rest of the material,” said Quiroga.
