Netflix will release the final season of ‘Stranger Things’ in three parts between November and December 2025. Why?
Finally comes the great outcome of the Netflix phenomenon. The fifth season of Stranger Things is closer than ever and promises to become one of the television events of the year.
The brothers Matt and Ross Duffer, Creators of the series assure that this will be “the most ambitious and emotional ending” they have made.
The new installment, made up of eight episodes, will mark the definitive closure of the story that began in 2016 and that catapulted to stardom Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo and the rest of the young Hawkins cast.
Premiere in three parts Netflix will opt for a staggered release: the first four chapters will arrive on November 26, 2025, the next three on December 25, and the grand finale will premiere on December 31, just to say goodbye to the year with the most anticipated outcome of the platform.

The group of protagonists must face total destruction while the fearsome Vecna, played by Jamie Campbell Bower, returns more powerful than ever. “This time there is no pause. We start in full action because the heroes already lost at the end of last season,” said Ross Duffer.
New faces and great returns
The main cast will be intact: Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven)Winona Ryder (Joyce), David Harbor (Hopper)Finn Wolfhard (Mike), Sadie Sink (Max) and Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas) return to say goodbye to their characters.
Among the additions stands out Linda Hamilton, the remembered protagonist of Terminator, who will play a key military figure in the final showdown.
A farewell with cinema overtones The Duffers have confirmed that the season will mix horror, science fiction and drama with an unprecedented visual scale.

The episodes were filmed with IMAX cinema technology and enhanced visual effects by Industrial Light & Magic, the same company behind Star Wars.
The first trailer already teased a darker tone, with Hawkins devastated, Eleven facing its latest challenges and a soundtrack marked by “Who Wants to Live Forever” by Queen, a choice that anticipates the impact of the closure.
Stranger Things became a cultural icon, revived the eighties aesthetic, boosted nostalgia for classic science fiction and turned phrases like “Friends don’t lie” in part of popular language.
