Alicorp sales grew double digit in second quarter

Consolidated sales of Alicorp 19% grew in the second quarter of the year, compared to a similar period of the previous year. The Peruvian capital food giant invoiced a total of S/2,988 million, driven by the good performance of the aquaculture business whose sales volume was increased by 36%, as well as by the good results of the B2B business (Alicorp Solutions) after the acquisition of sword refinery.

Likewise, the company’s gross rare profit reached S/782 million, which represented a progress of 13%, and in terms of adjusted Ebitda, this result reached S/450 million, reflecting a growth of 22% compared to a similar quarter of 2024.

In the mass consumption business Peru, Alicorp reported a gross adjusted utility of S/350 million, which represented a 7% decrease compared to the second quarter of the previous year. It should be noted that, during the reported period, the sales volume grew 13% year -on -year. Meanwhile, the adjusted Ebitda reached S/170 million, which represented an 18%decrease.

“These figures are explained by the competitive dynamics of some categories such as detergents, as well as greater pressure due to raw materials that impact domestic oils,” the company said in a statement. The company said that it made some adjustments in its commercial strategy, obtaining positive results in terms of sales volume, reflecting the strength of its strategy.

Regarding the international mass consumption line, the brute renowned profit remained stable compared to the second quarter of 2024 when registering S/90 million, while the adjusted Ebitda was S/41 million, 13% higher than the period of 2024 compared.

The B2B business (Alicorp Solutions) reached a gross adjusted utility of S/166 million, which represents a 20% year -on -year increase, mainly attributed to the incorporation of the sword refinery. Meanwhile, the adjusted Ebitda was S/105 million, 22% higher than the second quarter of 2024.

“These figures reflect the recovery of consumption in restaurants, which promoted the growth of categories such as sauces and domestic oils,” he said.

Finally, the aquaculture business (Vitapro) registered an adjusted gross utility of S/ 176 million, that is, twice greater compared to the second quarter of 2024. The adjusted Ebitda reached S/ 147 million, being 2.9 times greater than the same period of the previous year. This performance is associated with the increase of 36% in the volume sold.

The company is specialized in three lines of business: mass consumption (in food, personal and home care categories), B2B (industrial flours, industrial butter, premix and gastronomy products) and aquaculture (balanced food for fish and shrimp).
