“We need political will. Government management and will are needed,” he highlighted and indicated that it is not just the responsibility of a minister, but the work of the entire State. “It is not about one of the powers of the State, but about all of them,” he added.
For the representative of the business union, specialists are required, medical examiners, criminalists, video surveillance, in short, a series of tools that help combat crime and do not hinder processes.
In addition, he described it as a “good sign” that employers and workers come together to combat this very complex problem that is “overdiagnosed” but that to date has not been able to be reduced.
The president of Confiep also spoke about informality in the country and questioned the fact that in this matter no changes have been made to reduce the percentages. Currently more than 70% of people work informally.
“What are we doing to change it? Have we reduced administrative procedures? Have we reduced the barriers or increased them? We are increasing them. We are not doing anything to combat informality,” he said.
Likewise, he indicated that this does not mean tax evasion, but rather a lack of social protection for people.
