Parliamentary advisor Roque Araújo Neto, search and seizure during the Federal Police Operation (PF) to dismantle a supposed corruption scheme at the São Bernardo do Campo City Hall, was dismissed by the São Paulo Legislative Assembly (Alesp) on Friday (15).
Neto was an advisor in the office of Deputy Carla Morando (PSDB) with a salary of $ 8.2 thousand. The deputy is the wife of the former mayor of São Bernardo do Campo Orlando Morando, current secretary of urban security of São Paulo.
The advisor is cited in the PF report as one of the names that would have received the amount of R $ 390 thousand from the scheme’s operator, Paulo Iran Paulino Costa, who also had a position as advisor to the office of state deputy Rodrigo Moraes (PL). He is appointed as the person who distributed money between public and politicians.
By note, the deputy said she was surprised by the news about São Bernardo do Campo and Neto’s bond in the investigations.
“As soon as I learned of the facts, I determined the immediate dismissal of the server, which was only supported by the community, without any administrative attribution in the office. I confirm in the investigation of justice and, if the involvement is proven, that the person responsible is punished with the rigor of the law,” said the parliamentarian.
The corruption and money laundering scheme discovered by the Federal Police in São Bernardo do Campo points out Possible involvement of Mayor Marcelo Lima (Somos), who was removed from office for 1 year after the operation triggered this Thursday (14).

Two businessmen and a city server were also arrested.
The investigation began after police found about $ 14 million last month (considering a dollar part) with a server named the mayor’s financial operator. According to the PF, there are evidence of corruption and payment of bribes in contracts with companies in the areas of works, health and maintenance.
About $ 1.9 million in cash was seized with different targets, but the counting work is still underway.
With the removal of Lima, who assumes the City Hall is Deputy Mayor Jessica Cormick (Avante). She is 38 years old and has been a sergeant of the São Paulo Military Police since 2005. She has moved away from the corporation last year, being invited by then federal deputy and candidate Marcelo Lima to be deputy on her plate.
