The Legislative Assembly of the State of São Paulo (Alesp) approved last night (23) the bill that increases the state minimum wage. With the new readjustment, the minimum wage in the state for workers who fall into range 1 of the São Paulo floor will receive R$ 1,284, and those who are part of range 2, R$ 1,306. The readjustment index was based on the IPC/Fipe, of 10.3%.
With this readjustment, the state minimum wage remains higher than the national floor and takes effect from the first day of the month following the date of publication of the law. The bill authored by Governor João Doria changes the values established by Law nº 12.640 of July 11, 2007.
Alesp also approved the Complementary Law Project 10/22, which presents a 10% readjustment in the salary bonus for state employees, when lower than the new minimum salary in São Paulo.
For civil servants subject to the basic working day or the specific working day, the supplementary allowance will be calculated based on the amount provided for the full working day. The measures apply on the same basis and conditions to the civil servants of the autarchies and to the inactive and pensioners.
