“They only asked how many people were sick, but measures or actions to stop the cases have not been implemented, so we ask that urgent interventions be made in this sector where in less than a week two people have had to be admitted to the ICU due to the disease,” said Rosalba Chávez. , resident of the neighborhood.
It is worth mentioning that the Ministry of Health of Soledad indicated that after confirming several cases of dengue in the municipality, they began carrying out an aggressive education campaign that would minimize and, if possible, eradicate the presentation of this disease from the territory.
In addition, they indicated that the type 2 dengue outbreak that is currently occurring in the Atlantic region is because it is raining more than expected and emphasized that it is spreading in houses where the community insists on having swimming pools, vases with water and tanks, which are conducive environments for the incubation and development of the Aedes agepty mosquito, transmitter of the disease.

The authorities are calling for attention to the IPS, EPS and community leaders, so that they have full awareness of the responsibility of mandatory notification of the presence of cases or suspicions of dengue and immediately take the reaction actions ordered by the public health protocol.
