Nine provinces were down this Tuesday morningor alert for storms of varying intensity, some locally strongwhich may be accompanied by strong gusts, hail fall, significant electrical activity and abundant rainfall in short periods.
In San Luis, a large part of Mendoza and La Pampa, eastern Neuquén and Chubut and some towns in La Rioja, San Juan and Córdoba A yellow alert is in effect and accumulated precipitation values between 25 and 50 millimeters are expected, which can be exceeded locally.
Meanwhile, the east of El Cuy and the departments of General Roca, Avellaneda, Pichi Mahuida, Conesa, Valcheta and the plateau area of Adolfo Alsina and San Antonioin the province of Río Negro, are under orange alert for strong storms.
This area will be affected by storms with intense gusts of wind, hail fall, very frequent electrical activity and fundamentally abundant waterfall, with values of accumulated precipitation between 30 to 50 millimeters.
For the west of Río Negro, the storm alert is yellow level, according to the Meteorological Service.
In all cases, the SMN recommended that residents avoid outdoor activities, not take out the garbage and remove objects that prevent water from draining and not take refuge near trees and electricity poles that could fall.
Neither stay on beaches, rivers, lagoons or pools to minimize the risk of being struck by lightning.
