There is concern in Bucaramanga about the wave of violence that is taking place in the city, where seven people have already died in criminal acts and several people have been injured in isolated incidents.
The most recent case occurred when two young people who were on the outskirts of their residence in the Brisas de Provenza neighborhood in Bucaramanga, they were attacked with a firearm by unknown men who were traveling on a motorcycle.

Colonel José Jaramillo, deputy commander of the Metropolitan Police, reported that this case would be related to facts of collections from drop to drop. “It is the first hypothesis that we have, they are people between 20 and 25 years old in the Provenza sector, these people are injured and then transferred to a care center,” he said.

In other events, in the Gaitán neighborhood of Bucaramanga, the authorities reported that a man identified as Brayan Stiven Peña Alarcón, 24, died after receiving 12 shots in his body, Apparently this attack was the result of revenge for the murder of a young woman, which occurred on June 5 in the Morrorico neighborhood of the city.

In this case, the Bucaramanga Metropolitan Police reported that they are looking for the subjects known as aliases “Gasparín” and “Mono” who apparently would be the presumed responsible for this death.
