Alert: ENA users are being scammed with fake emails

The National Highway Company (ENA) warns users of the North, South and East corridors about the circulation of new fraudulent emails, which illegally use the noName of the company to supposedly manage collections and payments.

With the false email address [email protected] with the subject Fine for non-payment, a link is sent in which users are shown a supposed link in which they can review both the amount of the fine, the cancellation deadline, as well as making the payment of the supposed fine.

Erick Zambrano, ENA’s Collection Manager, recalled that the Panapass payment/recharge methods are payment points, through online banking, and credit and debit card recharges with the Panapass App. He added that user inquiries are made through the customer service line 192, Whatsapp 67395810 and the web portal www.ena.com.pa. He also highlighted that ENA does not impose fines, since the competent entity that issues the tickets / sanctions for the use of corridors without a balance is the Transit and Land Transportation Authority (ATTT).

For her part, Dionys Sánchez, ENA’s Technology Manager, pointed out that in this new version of phishing in which the brand of the state company ENA is illegally used, fake email uses a domain highly used for the distribution of malware, .tk. (Tokelau) an insulting territory of New Zealand.

Sánchez added that the respective complaints have been filed with the corresponding authorities, while recommending broker users not to open emails of dubious origin and verify their authenticity through ENA’s customer service channels.
