The Meteorology Directorate issued an alert for a storm system for the country’s capital and surroundings during the night of this Wednesday.
The alert was issued shortly after 7:00 p.m., in relation to the high probability of heavy rains, strong gusts of wind and punctually the fall of hail during the next hour.
Likewise, a meteorological alert is in effect for the affected Departments: Concepción, San Pedro, Cordillera, Guairá, Caaguazú, Caazapá, central and eastern Itapuá, Paraguarí, Alto Paraná, Central, Amambay, Canindeyú, Pte. Hayes, eastern Boquerón.
The rains will persist during tomorrow, expecting a rapid improvement with moderate to strong winds from the south, favoring thermal sensations below air temperature.
The persistence of the cold air mass will cause a cold environment at night with temperatures ranging between 7 and 10 °C in the Eastern region, while in the Western region between 11 and 13 °C.
For Friday, the day would be sunny throughout the country, prevailing winds from the southern sector with minimum temperatures around 3 and 7 °C in the Eastern region and around 9 °C for the Western region.
There are high probabilities of occurrence of frosts for several localities of the national territory.
