Alert about new storms nationwide for the next few hours

The Meteorology Directorate issued a new alert before the imminent arrival of new precipitation and electrical storms during the next few hours. Several departments would be affected by this climatic phenomenon.

A special bulletin by storm system was published this afternoon by the Directorate of Meteorology and Hydrology, in order to keep citizens up to date on the weather situation for the next few hours.

The report indicates that as of this Thursday the return of the storms is expected, first towards the departments of Ñeembucú, Misiones, Itapúa, Caazapá and Paraguarí and then moving towards other regions.

Rain accumulations of between 80 and 120 millimeters are expected in these areas along with high frequency of electrical storms and gusts of wind that could reach up to 100 km/h.

Starting Thursday afternoon and during the course of Friday, these conditions would be moving to Central and Asunción, Cordillera, central and northern Paraguarí, central and northern Caazapá, Guairá, Caaguazú, central and southern Presidente Hayes, Canindeyú. , Alto Paraná, south and west of Boquerón and San Pedro.

According to the Meteorology report, accumulated rainfall of between 50 and 80 millimeters, high-intensity wind gusts that could also range around 100 km/h and electrical storms are expected in these areas.

The forecast is that these weather conditions continue at least until Sunday, so the rains will continue to be recorded in various regions of the country.
