In this regard, the Colorado leader Arturo Gossen, head of Section No. 1, denounced that the headquarters he heads was attacked by sympathizers of the Concertación, who gathered this Sunday in the fifth department for a political rally with the presence of Alegre and nunez.

“I reject and repudiate vandalism as a campaign method. I energetically claim the followers of Alegre. Promoting a fight between Paraguayans is not patriotic. The discourse promoted from that political sector years ago does not contribute at all to solving the serious problems that afflict the people, ”he pointed out.

In communication with La Nación/Nación Media, Morales expressed his fear of the hate campaign promoted by the Concertación, arguing that it could even lead to attacks on public roads between sympathizers and leaders.
“I understand that they base their campaign on a rejection of coloradism, but, apparently, not only are the speeches enough, but they also carry out acts of vandalism. Alegre has to be responsible and know that his hate speech and rejection have consequences. He is not a candidate who proposes the construction of a better Paraguay, but he proposes to attack the adversary. Political campaigns will intensify every day and fanaticism will rise. Continuing with this rhythm will lead to clashes in the streets for the month of April and that is what we do not want, ”he indicated.
BACKGROUND
In 2021, the headquarters of the Colorado Party, located in the city of Asunción, was attacked and then set on fire by opposition leaders in the midst of an environment of lack of control and violence as a sign of rejection of the government of President Mario Abdo Benítez.
