The success of the laws approved by the National Assembly (AN) lies in the participation of the Popular powerthrough dissemination and consultations, in the construction of the different legal instruments, the deputy Juan Carlos Alemán highlighted on Tuesday.
“For a Law to have a real impact on society, that is, to be accepted by the people, it must be given a lot of publicity and popular consultations,” the parliamentarian told the AN during a television program.
For Alemán, “The revolution is inclusion.” In this sense, he explained that the laws of Popular Power deepen and transform the Venezuelan State, giving priority to the people governing from their communities.

The National Assembly expects high levels of approval of laws by 2023 for the benefit of popular power and to continue strengthening the country’s economic recovery, said congressman Alemán.
During the interview, the Parliamentarian highlighted that the most outstanding laws for this new year are the Law on Social Comptrollership, the Organic Law on Community Councils, Law on the Community Parliament, Law on Social Networks, Law on Journalism, laws on criminal matters, as well how to continue consolidating mechanisms for the economic recovery of the country, among others.
«We close 2022 with the issue of the laws of Popular Power, an interesting issue that has to do with the deepening of the ruling people, of self-government. It is the people governing is what we call self-government, the model that we want to promote, because we feel that it is the way, the solution, “he said.
AN approved 21 new laws
During the year 2022 72 sessions were held, 21 new laws were approved and 39 were approved in the first discussion, explained the parliamentarian.
Alemán emphasized that this was possible thanks to the commitment, cooperation and integration of parliamentarians, both from the government and from the opposition.
Dialogue with the oppositions
Regarding the dialogue between the Government and the opposition, Juan Carlos Alemán recalled that in 2022, the national Executive managed to resume talks with some sectors of the Venezuelan opposition. In addition, the Chevron oil company was authorized to resume commercial operations with Venezuela and the release of various resources withheld abroad was obtained.
Given these new scenarios, Deputy Alemán considers that these events “will allow the relaunch of the national economy this year.”
It should be remembered that the second agreement that Venezuela signed with the opposition contemplates the creation of a trust fund to protect the Venezuelan people, whose resources will go to cover needs in the areas of health, education, food, public services, among others; in addition to the defense of Guayana Esequiba.
