Alejandro Murat and Beatriz Paredes call for dialogue and alliance towards 2024

With its Dialogues for Mexico, the PRI showed electoral muscle by presenting two of its candidates for the presidential candidacy in 2024: Alejandro Murat Hinojosa and Beatriz Paredes Rangel. José Ángel Gurría, former foreign minister, former secretary of the Treasury and former director of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and former secretary of the Economy Ildefonso Guajardo, who chose not to place himself, also attended the PRI national headquarters. on his party’s list of presidential candidates. There, PRI President Alejandro Moreno Cárdenas fully opened the call for a broad alliance to win Congress and a coalition government between his party, the PAN, Movimiento Ciudadano and the PRD.

The former national leaders of the PRI, Manlio Fabio Beltrones Rivera (who attended as a guest of Paredes), José Antonio González Fernández, Pedro Joaquín Coldwell and Beatriz Paredes Rangel, as well as the general secretary of the National Executive Committee, Carolina Viggiano, Sergio García Ramírez and Maria Esther Sherman, among others. The event will continue this Tuesday with the presence of Miguel Ángel Riquelme, Enrique Villegas, Claudia Ruiz Massieu and Enrique de la Madrid.

In his turn, Governor Murat said he was ready and prepared to be the PRI’s presidential candidate: That’s why we are here! With ease, the Oaxacan argued that Mexico has all the conditions to grow, to develop and that it is enough to have the correct planning and execute it.

If we want to create, we have to build. The PRI has always understood this. Because they know how it is built: with dialogue and when dialogue runs out, more dialogue! It is not in the disqualification, it is in the hope that it is built. It is when you listen to that deep Mexico, which is out there willing to die for dignity. It is built through majorities, but not those that crush minorities, but those that incorporate and guide them; is built when there is dialogue… the dialogue of the story. He then quoted Benito Juárez, who leaped from the bush maintained an idea of ​​the Republic that represents freedom for us.

For her part, Beatriz Paredes also said she was a firm candidate for a broad opposition coalition –of which the Institutional Revolutionary is a part– and called for the alliance.

Thus, he elaborated that the 2024 election will be particular because the definition of new coordinates prevails for the formation of the country, of new challenges, such as the excessive centralization of power, the weakening and loss of prestige over other powers of the Republic and the crushing of federalism; there is talk of the new maximato: it is the ignorance of the country’s democratic process.

Gurría, invited as a speaker, focused his participation on calling the opposition alliance: It is a priority, essential, to redefine the rules that will work for the Va por México coalition. In this way there will be the possibility of prevailing, of winning, of changing the political system of Mexico. An alliance that results in an equally majority legislative bloc and a government supported collectively, once again, by the MC, PRD, PAN and PRI, which together define philosophy, legislative initiatives, at least the most important ones, the main acts of government.

At the opening of the event, Moreno summoned the general public and the PAN, MC and PRD to a great alliance for national unity, to resolve the great problems of Mexico. He offered the opposition forces the commitment of the PRI and experience to get the country out of its most difficult hours.
