Alejandro Ferrer de Capac: “Increases in wages in construction will have implications as of July”

The vice president of the Panamanian Chamber of Construction (Capac), Alejandro Ferrer, gave details on Tuesday about the signing of an agreement with the Single Union of Construction and Similar Workers (Suntracs) early this Monday, in terms of salary.

He explained that the first two years ensured that this adjustment was minor in order to avoid affecting the projects that are about to come out and those that are in execution.

“Any salary increase has implications, this is going to suffer an impact as of July in those projects, the same thing is going to happen in the private sphere. All that means more costs,” he remarked.
