The legislator of Avanza País, Alexander Caveroasked the club Sporting Crystal to request that he not participate in the “Copa Evo”, in which the U-17 division is scheduled to take part.
Cavero Alva’s document was sent to Joel Raffo, president of the Rimense institution. The letter reads that there is a “discomfort” of a large sector of the Bolivian population due to the participation of several prestigious clubs in the event held by Evo Morales, former president of that country.
In this line, it is explained that the former president of Bolivia led a government opposed to democracy and with strong questions for alleged connections with drug trafficking.

“Based on the foregoing, Mr. Raffo, I would appreciate it if you would kindly reconsider the participation of the Sporting Cristal club in the Evo Cup as a gesture of commitment to democratic values and the rule of law, principles with which I am sure the club agrees”is read in the letter of the parliamentarian.
Other well-known clubs from all over the American continent also participate in the youth tournament.
