In an abbreviated trial agreement, Prosecutor Gabriela Fossati charged him with the crimes of criminal association, influence peddling, violation of secrecy and conjunction of public interest, for which he requested a sentence of four and a half years in prison and a fine of 100 UR according to the prosecutor, the agreement with the defense covers all cases.
Judge Alejandro Asteggiante upheld the agreement reached between Fossati and the defense of the former head of presidential custody Alejandro Astesiano.
The prosecutor said that Astesiano’s collaboration and his confession are “valued” as the main reason for reaching this agreement. The defense expressed its agreement with the agreement.
Astesiano’s lawyer also asked that the security measures that weigh on his client in prison end, which “restrict his mobility.” The convicted person will be transferred to Unit 6 of Punta de Rieles.
