Alejandro Aguinaga: Minister Romero's answers about the repression are a kind of denial

Anuska Buenaluque and David Gómez Fernandini spoke with Congressman Alejandro Aguinaga, from Fuerza Popular, about the Interior Minister’s statements about police repression of the protests.

In the first place, he referred to the position of the FP bench before the answers that Vicente Romero gave in the three interpellatory documents presented by legislators.

“We have not been so happy. It is a kind of denial of all these interventions that he has had (…) We want the use of this type of bullet to be really clarified, because many of the deaths apparently present consequences of this type of bullets,” he said.

In addition, when Buenaluque mentioned the statements of the IDL investigation regarding those killed by projectile impacts, the parliamentarian pointed out the following: “The ballistic surveys and autopsies would have to go through the regular channel, which is the Institute of Legal Medicine , and not by investigations”.
