Interviewed in Aristegui News the actress and singer explained that since 2016 she received a proposal from the national leadership of the Morena party for the lease of a property located in the Roma neighborhood of Mexico City, where the finance directorate of the political institute would be installed.
The contract on that occasion was signed by Alejandro Esquerwho at the time served as the legal representative of the Morena party, until he left office in 2018 to join the government of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador as an adviser.
He pointed out that during this time, there was no problem with the rent payments of the property and even, in 2019, when it was required to sign a new contract, this was postponed, until a new finance secretary for Morena was appointed, however, both parties agreed to keep the contract under the same terms and conditions.
By 2020, with Francisco Javier Cavieres as the new finance director of Morena, Ávalos sent his contract for the corresponding firm, but it was retained.
“I send the contract that was the same as that of previous years and they tell me (Morena) that there is a new provision, landlord contracts will no longer be accepted, we made the lease and then I receive a leonine contract, with clauses impossible for any owner”, he explained.
