NEW YORK.- The pre-candidate for the presidency of the DR for the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM), engineer Ramon Albuquerquewho heads the Democratic Alternative Current (CAD), coordinated in NY by Ruddy Durán, gave a talk this Sunday at the party’s main venue in the Bronx, where he also swore in dozens of Dominicans.
During the act, which was attended by more than a hundred people, Alburquerque expressed that the objective of the Alternative Current is to capture the perremeistas who are upset by the lack of programming and understanding, “so that they do not go to Leonel Fernández or to any other party ; It has not been created to divide the PRM but to unite it”.
Asked what his first steps to implement in the country would be if he were elected president, he replied: “Solve the Haitian problem; the Haitians there helping them to do well, but the Dominicans fighting for our development, protecting our health, education, properties and reducing crime, and for that we are going to do what needs to be done”.
He said that, regarding crime, President Luis Abinader has all the power to tell all the police, the generals: “in a month they have to finish me with the drug points, leave me the robberies that come from the same police, because there are many small groups there that are as if they were collecting”.

“And the third issue, the environment, you can not continue abusing rivers, mountains, everything, as if we were saying goodbye to the planet. We have to preserve the environment because everyone says so, if not, the temperature levels will change our weather conditions”.
Likewise, he referred to the Dominican community abroad: “relying on it, its savings, productive capacity, its love for the country, its desire to invest and giving it, I would become a loving government with the community.”
“I would take it away when they are going to have to renew their passports, because if they send me so much money (remittances) how am I going to charge them, and as for the vehicles, how is it, with the new technology, because the cars from before are not those of today, since they are invented almost to accompany people from the moment they are born until they die, with the high technology they have”.
“That means that they can be exported with more years, later the electric car will come and all this will go to another direction, even in the US. within 10 years they will only manufacture electric cars and in Europe too. In other words, a modern government that knows what to do”.
Regarding the prolonged political crisis that exists in the NY-section to elect its president, he expressed: “Here there are and there are no problems, because what the people want is democracy, that they do not put their finger in, that they do not capriciously put so-and-so ”.
“The people have the capacity, the perremeistas here, of election in one day they are resolved; 10 senior party leaders are sent and in one day, in a totally transparent vote, and there the people say who they want”.
He stressed that “the people voted on July 5, 2020 to kick corruption and impunity out of the palace.” “If we vote against that, we cannot allow that dark past to return,” she said.
He added that Abinader is doing well, “but I will do better when I win the presidency in 2024.”
