President Alberto Fernandez will visit this Monday the Buenos Aires party of little seawhere the New Sports Center of Santa Clara del Mar will be inaugurated, official sources reported.
The activity, scheduled for 11:30 a.m. and which takes place as part of the celebration for the 73rd anniversary of Santa Clara, will also be attended by the Minister of Public Works, Gabriel Katopodisand the local mayor Jorge Paredistated the Presidency.
It is a work reactivated in April 2021 after being paralyzed between 2015 and 2019, with an investment of 150 million pesos and the generation of 120 direct jobs, and which will now benefit the more than 18 thousand people who live in 11 towns in the region.
Later, Fernández will hold meetings with young people from the Municipal Basketball School and with retirees from the “Adults in Action” Program, and will visit the monument in homage to Diego Maradona called “Amada Mía”, the work of Buenos Aires plastic artist Sebastián Martino.
The sports center is located in Rio de Janeiro and Pinamar, a few meters from the “El Diego” Municipal Park.
In the “El Diego” Municipal Park, a public space of 1,500 square meters was built for different sports activities, which includes a 420-square-meter basketball court, while the facilities will also be used by the party’s Physical Education Center , which was not based in the coastal area, and will be available to schools.
Through a statement, the communal chief of Mar Chiquita invited the neighbors to accompany the activity and “be part of a moment that will remain forever in the party’s history“.
“After the last administration left the work paralyzed, we, as part of the Argentine reconstruction, reactivated it together with Alberto and Minister Katopodis,” said Paredi.
The work is the “yearning of thousands of neighbors who eagerly awaited having the first municipal covered sports arena on the district’s coast,” said the mayor.
