President Alberto Fernández greeted the Argentine soccer team this Sunday after their victory in the Qatar 2022 World Cup and affirmed that “They are the example that we should not give up.”
“Thanks to the players and technical team. They are the example that we should not give up. That we have a great people and a great future”Férnandez wrote on his Twitter account, where he also attached a photo with his partner Fabiola Yañez and his son Francisco.
Earlier, On the same social network, the president thanked the message of good wishes from the Mexican president, Andrés Manuel López Obradorwho posted a video to give the reasons why he believes that Argentina should become the winner of the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
“United in hope. Thank you dear López Obrador. Friends forever,” Fernández wrote next to the video published by the Mexican.
On Saturday night, the Mexican president said that he did not want to let any more time go by to send his good wishes to Buenos Aires, and explained why he wants Argentina to be crowned victorious in this World Cup.

“It would be a tribute to (Diego) Maradona, an athlete committed to social and political changes in Latin America and the world,” he said.
Second, he argued that the country “belongs to our America, we are brothers.”
And as a third point, he expressed: “I would like Argentina to win because it would also be a great recognition of (Lionel) Messi, an extraordinary footballer.”
