In the midst of the public and political uproar caused by the serious attack against Cristina Kirchner, Alberto Fernandez led, this morning, a new cabinet meeting to discuss the security situation with his ministers.
From the Government House, they reported: “the national cabinet headed by President Alberto Fernandez analyzed this morning the state of social unrest derived from the attempted assassination of Vice President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner”.
After the meeting concluded, Alberto Fernandez confirmed that the cabinet will participate in the march called in the Plaza de Mayowhere the Government will express, once again, its rejection of the attack on the vice president and its support for her.
Likewise, the president invited all citizens to mobilize, in a peaceful manner, against the violence and the events that have occurred in recent hours, since, according to the Government, they have put democracy at risk.
Under this same line, the head of state it convened representatives of the trade union, social, business and human rights sectors to “build a broad consensus against hate speech and violence.”
The meeting will take place at 4:00 p.m. in the Casa Rosada, where different measures will be analyzed to prevent new situations from being generated, such as the one that occurred with the vice president.
Additionally, the president of the Chamber of Deputies Cecilia Moreu reported that a Special Session of the Chamber of Deputies was called for the same purpose for this Saturday, September 3, in the National Congress.

The meeting of ministers was headed by the president in the Eva Perón room of the Casa Rosada. The meeting lasted more than two hours and was attended by all the portfolio managers of the administration of Alberto Fernandez.
