Alberto Fernández, Cristina Kirchner and political leaders remembered Evita

President Alberto Fernández remembered Eva Perón on Tuesday 70 years after her death and assured that his followers maintain the “conviction of continuing to work for and for the people, always putting those who have least first.”

On the anniversary of Evita’s death, Fernández published a video on her social networks in which you can see different images of the life and work of the “standard bearer of the humble”.

Vice President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner did the same through the social network Twitter, with a post in which she considered that the “flag of the humble” is “an Argentine passion.”

Cristina Kirchner’s tweet is accompanied by a photo of an aerial shot of the monument to Evita made on the facade of the Ministry of Social Development.

This Tuesday, events to commemorate Evita and her work will multiply throughout the country, including the torchlight march to be carried out by the workers’ unions on Avenida 9 de Julio.

From the Justicialista Party they pointed out on social networks that Evita “lives in her preaching, her tireless struggle and her ardent dedication to the cause of Social Justice.”

For his part, the Minister of the Interior, Eduardo “Wado” De Pedro, published on his social networks a photo of the “flag-bearer of the humble” that he accompanied with a phrase: “70 years after his passage to immortality, #EvitaEterna in the heart of the working people.”

Cristina Álvarez Rodríguez, Buenos Aires Government Minister and great-niece of Eva Perón, pointed out that “Evita is living history” and affirmed that “her example is the way forward.”

The Minister for Women, Gender and Diversity, Elizabeth Gómez Alcorta, stated that “Evita is courage, equality and social justice.”

“Through her life and work, she transcended despite attempts to discipline her and cover her tracks,” he added.

The national deputy Leonardo Grosso assured that Evita “with her love, firmness, tenderness and determination showed us the way to achieve the happiness of our people.”

The mayor of Tigre, Julio Zamora, said that Eva Perón is “an example of struggle and courage who knew how to make history, always putting the people first.”

For his part, the Minister of Health of the province of Buenos Aires, Nicolás Kreplak, remarked that “Evita lives in every Peronist, in every act of love, militancy and social justice.”

The general secretary of the CTA and national deputy Hugo Yasky indicated that “the flame of Evita is still burning” and added that “our best tribute is to go out into the street and say enough to the powerful.”

Meanwhile, Martín Soria, Minister of Justice, asserted that “his words and his practice continue to beat in the heart of our movement.”
