Alberto Fernández cancels his Middle East tour and will travel alone to Chile

Faced with the escalation of war between Russia and Ukraine, Alberto Fernandez canceled the trip he had planned to make in the Middle East between March 14 and 18, to participate in various events.

Nevertheless, the mandatary confirmed that he will travel to Chile to accompany Gabriel Boric in his inauguration as president and with whom he will later meet Alberto Fernandez.

After his tour of Russia, the president condemned that country’s military offensive against Ukraine.

This was confirmed by the presidential spokeswoman Gabriela Cerruti, “the trip to the Middle East was postponed due to the international situation”who also claimed that Alberto Fernandez will meet in Chile with the president of Peru, Pedro Castillo.
