Faced with the escalation of war between Russia and Ukraine, Alberto Fernandez canceled the trip he had planned to make in the Middle East between March 14 and 18, to participate in various events.
Nevertheless, the mandatary confirmed that he will travel to Chile to accompany Gabriel Boric in his inauguration as president and with whom he will later meet Alberto Fernandez.
This was confirmed by the presidential spokeswoman Gabriela Cerruti, “the trip to the Middle East was postponed due to the international situation”who also claimed that Alberto Fernandez will meet in Chile with the president of Peru, Pedro Castillo.
The president planned to travel to Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, and to Dubai, to visit the 2020 Dubai World Expo, where Argentina is currently participating.
Also, the Head of State planned to meet with different representatives of the Middle East, especially businessmen to bring more investment to the country, after his successful tour of China, Barbados and Russia.

President He will be accompanied by the Governor of San Juan, Sergio Uñac; the ministers of Foreign Relations, Santiago Cafiero, and of Health, Carla Vizzotti; the Secretary General of the Presidency, Julio Vitobello, and Cerruti herself.
Also present will be the Minister of Women, Gender and Diversity, Elizabeth Gómez Alcorta; the presidential adviser, Dora Barrancos; the president of Grandmothers of Plaza de Mayo, Estela de Carlotto, and the member of that same association, Buscarita Roa.
Fernandez and his delegation will travel the same Friday in the early hours of the morning, from where they will move from Santiago to Valparaíso where Boric will assume the presidency.
Then the president will participate in the planned lunch at the Presidential Residence of Cerro Castillo, Viña del Mar, and later he will meet his Chilean counterpart and at the end of the day he will meet with the president of Peru.
