This Friday, Alberto Fernandez will lead, in the auditorium of the Cultural Center of Science (C3), the delivery of the Houssay, Houssay Trajectory and Jorge Sábato Awards, and the National Researcher Distinction.
During the ceremony, which is scheduled for 5:00 p.m., President Alberto Fernandez He will be accompanied by the Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Daniel Filmus, since this portfolio organizes the event.
As detailed by the Government, the prizes that will be awarded this Friday Alberto Fernandez looking for “recognize those who contributed, throughout their scientific career, to producing new knowledge and developing innovations with a social and productive impact”.
In turn, these awards promoted by the Ministry of Planning and Policies in Science, Technology and Innovation “recognize researchers who promoted the transfer of knowledge and the training of human resources.”
In this sense, the areas that stand out for the Houssay, Houssay Trajectory and Jorge Sábato Awards are: Health Sciences (Medical, Agricultural and Veterinary); Environmental Sciences and Technologies (Biodiversity, Territorial Occupation, Environmental Technologies and Environmental Management).
Also, Human Sciences (History, Linguistics, Anthropology, Literature, Archeology, and Philosophy); Engineering, Architecture, Computer Science. For each area of knowledge, a winner will be selected, who will receive a medal, a diploma and $300,000 or $500,000, depending on the prize.
Among the winners of the Houssay Trajectory Awards, the Executive Branch will designate the Researcher of the Argentine Nation, who will receive a gold medal and $2,500,000 as an award.
Alberto Fernández swore in Diego Giuliano
On the afternoon of this Thursday, the head of state Diego Giuliano was sworn in as the new Minister of Transportation. Giuliano will replace Alexis Guerrera, who resigned due to health problems.
During the ceremony, the president thanked Guerrera for the work carried out during this time, who had to assume the portfolio after the death of Marito Meoni.
