This Friday, Alberto Fernandez will head an act in which he will present scientific and technological infrastructure works, which will be developed within the framework of the Construir Ciencia program.
President Alberto Fernandez will sign, together with governors of 16 provinces, “the letters of intent” to start 22 scientific and technological infrastructure works that will have an investment of $9.9 billion, according to the government house.
The event that will be chaired by Alberto Fernandez will take place at the Casa Rosada Bicentennial Museum; There, too, the Minister of Science and Technology, Daniel Filmus, will be present.
In addition, the governors of the provinces of Salta, Jujuy, Santiago del Estero, La Rioja, Formosa, Chaco, Misiones, Santa Fe, Entre Ríos, Province of Buenos Aires, Córdoba, Mendoza, Río Negro, Chubut and Tierra del Fuego will participate; as well as authorities of the City of Buenos Aires.
The Building Science program currently depends on the Secretariat for Scientific and Technological Articulation, which, in turn, is coordinated by the Undersecretary for Institutional Coordination.
Through this initiative, the creation or adaptation of technological infrastructures is promoted, in order to strengthen “the capacities of scientific research, development and technological innovation of institutions”.
when last april President launched this program, assured that his government seeks to “federalize investment in science and technology”in order to eliminate the “imbalance” and “inequality” between the different provinces of the country.
What institutions does the Construir Ciencia program reach?
The program reaches all the institutions of the National System of Science, Technology and Innovation (SNCTI); In addition, it can “be developed in national public institutions and public science and technology organizations of jurisdictions throughout Argentina.”
Likewise, it can be used “in government areas related to the field of research, to present projects for new building infrastructure works or adaptations and completions.”
