Given the growing wave of violence that has occurred in Rosario this year, the president Alberto Fernandez announced a series of measures to guarantee the safety of all citizens.
In this order, the head of state stated through a public address that, after holding dialogue with the governor of Santa Fe, Omar Perotti, and the mayor of Rosario, Pablo Javkin, he decided to increase the presence of federal forces in the city of Santa Fe, since Alberto Fernandez seeks to end violence.
“I have ordered the reinforcement of the Federal Forces until reaching at this stage the 1400 troops available for the city of Rosario”warned Alberto Fernandezwho also explained that he considers that the city’s security forces are insufficient to deal with the current situation.
The president also ordered that “the Argentine Army, through its company of Engineers, participate in the urbanization of popular neighborhoods, accelerating tasks pending execution.”
He also pointed out that, to guarantee the implementation of this operation, the Minister of Security, Aníbal Fernández, will travel to Rosario tomorrow, since the city needs drastic measures.
He also explained: “The governor of the province of Santa Fe, Omar Perotti, will sign the agreement with the FIU to install a delegation in Rosario. In this way, we seek to have greater efficiency in the fight against money laundering, derived, among other causes, from drug trafficking”.
At the same time, the president confirmed that the Renaper Collaboration and Technical Cooperation Agreement was drawn up “with the province of Santa Fe, which will allow the validation of identities through the Secure Identification System quickly and quickly in security operations.”
