Albert Fernandez: "We live a moment of great happiness and great joy"

Francisco was born with a weight of 3,510 grams.

President Alberto Fernández assured this Monday that together with the first lady, Fabiola Yañez, they live “a moment of great happiness and great joy” after the birth of their son, Francisco.

“The birth of a child is a unique moment. I used to say that the happiest moment was when Tani (Estanislao) was born. Today was a second moment just like that”confided the head of state about the arrival of Francisco, whose birth occurred at dawn this Monday, by cesarean section, at the Otamendi Sanatorium, in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Recoleta.

In dialogue with Radio 10, Fernández recounted how the moments before the birth were: “We knew that Fabiola was on date, we knew that the birth was coming at any moment. The doctors had foreseen April 20 as the deadline and last night she told me it felt like his belly was getting hard and we called the doctor.

From that moment, he said, “everything went very fast.”

Asked about the message and the present sent by Vice President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, Fernández thanked the gesture and, regarding the relationship between the two, said: “The only thing I am going to work on is unity, because we are all dispensed with, What is not prescinding is that for us this is broken and we give way to the right”.

Meanwhile, between laughs, When asked about the possibility of changes in the Cabinet, Fernández highlighted: “The only thing I have to think about is the diaper change”.

Regarding the choice of the baby’s name, the Head of State directly related it to that of Pope Francis: “It is well known that I recognize in him a moral leader of enormous stature.”

Francisco was born at 1:21 a.m. this Monday at the Otamendi sanatorium, by cesarean section.

“Mrs. Fabiola Yañez entered the OTAMENDI SANATORIUM after midnight with labor contractions without progress, for which a cesarean section was performed. A male baby weighing 3,510 grams was born at 1:22 a.m. ” , reported the Presidential Medical Unit through a statement.

The evolution, “of both the baby and the mother, is satisfactory. Both are in perfect health,” he highlights.
