The Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-Treaty of Commerce of the Peoples (ALBA-TCP), through a statement, expressed its jubilation by the Foundation 200 years ago of the Republic of Bolivia and therefore sent its congratulations to the people of the Plurinational State of Bolivia.
The statement stands out that the birth of “the favorite daughter of the liberator” was due to the “crossing of indigenous courage, popular fire and the emancipatory vision of Los Libertadores.”
Likewise, it emphasizes that with the Foundation of the Republic of Bolivia, the “first institutional spark of what is now the Plurinational State of Bolivia was consolidated.”
The alliance indicates that with the birth of Bolivia, a common cause of the region emerged: the big homeland.

ALBA-TCP celebrates the Bicentennial of the Bolivia Independence Declaration
The Alba-TCP commemorates the bicentennial of the Foundation of the Republic of Bolívar and congratulates the people and government of the Plurinational State of Bolivia.
The ALBA-TCP celebrates with deep emotion and living memory the Bicentennial of the Foundation of the Republic of Bolívar, proclaimed on August 6, 1825 by the Deliberative Assembly of Chuquisaca, convened by the Great Marshal of Ayacucho, Antonio José de Sucre, by mandate of the Liberator Simón Bolívar in tribute to the first year of the epic victory in the battle of Junín.
That day Bolivia, a favorite daughter of El Libertador, was born at the crossing of indigenous courage, popular fire and the emancipatory vision of the Liberators. With Bolívar in the soul and Sucre in the field, a new homeland was sown in the heart of America, woven with the invisible thread of justice, dignity and self -determination.
The Republic of Bolívar was the first institutional spark of what is now the Plurinational State of Bolivia. Since that founding act, a rebel, diverse nation has been forged, deeply aware of its role in the struggle for a free and united Latin America, representing a new more inclusive, participatory, and community state model of great historical, social, cultural and legal importance, which recognizes the pre -colonial existence of original and peasant indigenous peoples.
Today, two centuries later, Bolivia is still moral avant -garde of our America. From Túpac Katari to Bartolina Sisa, from Juana Azurduy to the original, peasant and urban communities that resisted neoliberalism and defeated it, the spirit of August of 1825 is more alive than ever.
From the Alba-TCP, from the peoples that fight and dream of social justice and real sovereignty, we join this historical commemoration with gratitude and hope. The birth of Bolivia was also the birth of a common cause that continues to beating: the big homeland.
