ALBA-TCP rejects interventionist OAS resolution on Venezuela

Venezuela has not been part of the organization since 2019, but it is “striving to continue to have an opinion on the country’s internal affairs,” the statement said.

The member states of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America – Peoples’ Trade Treaty (ALBATCP) rejected this Monday the “interventionist” resolution of the Organization of American States (OAS) on Venezuela’s internal affairs, dated August 16, 2024.

The organization states that this resolution is not only inappropriate, but represents another open interference in the internal affairs of Venezuela, which has not been part of the organization since 2019, the statement said.
