The ALBA Movements National Meeting, Venezuela chapter, concluded with the publication of a Political Document against Imperialism and Fascism, where more than 37 Venezuelan social movements and more than 40 Communes expressed the importance of the defense of unity and the Bolivarian Revolution , besieged by the blockade imposed by the United States Government, through coercive and unilateral measures.
Strengthening Popular Power as a center for the integration of grassroots organizations is another of the conclusions of this national meeting. Likewise, they agreed to deliver the document to the country in order to communalize the Revolution, as contributions for this new stage of transition to socialism and for the National Congress of the Historical Block.
The activity was led by the executive secretary of ALBA-TCP and vice president of Communes of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Jorge Arreaza, who highlighted that “talking about the communalization of our peoples is also talking about decolonization, it is going to Simón Rodríguez and his originality and his project, which cannot be copied (…) This is how, from this territory, we manage to definitively change the structure of the social order, the economic order.
He expressed that imperialist aggression, with its assassination attempts, with its agenda of violence, must be fought from communalization, the union of the people, the rural workers, with productive and political alliances of all sectors of society.
Arreaza urged the communal councils and communes of Venezuela to renew the leadership and debate the ideas of economy and management, and to prepare for other episodes that will emerge in the national territory.
As a third point, the document established the following: We declare ourselves in an active and permanent struggle against the imperialist agenda and against fascism that seeks, through violence, discrimination and the denial of Chavismo, to snatch power from the Bolivarian Revolution. politician who has legitimately conquered with the popular victory of President Nicolás Maduro.
Likewise, the meeting served to build a common agenda of struggle that from now on will be carried out in different regions of the country in order to expand and strengthen the organization and scope of action of the ALBA Movements, Venezuela chapter.
On the other hand, the social movements agreed to hold the “Communalizing ALBA” symposium on November 29 and 30, to bring contributions to the Summit of Presidents and Heads of State of the ALBA-TCP that will be held in December in the context of the 20th anniversary of the Alliance.
