The Alba Movimiento organization calls on popular organizations and political parties for an international mobilization on January 28 against the Government of the President of the United States, Donald Trump, and his actions.
This call occurs within the framework of the 12 years of the proclamation, as a “Zone of Peace”, of Latin America and the Caribbean by the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (Celac).
The coordinator of Alba Movimientos, Giovane del Prete, said that “all countries, in some way, have reasons to mobilize against Trump in this situation. For this reason, we seek to strengthen the international solidarity movement.”
“Now we are talking about Venezuela, but tomorrow it could be Cuba, Colombia, Mexico or even Brazil,” he said regarding Washington’s warlike actions against free and sovereign nations.
With these demonstrations they intend to raise their voice against the illegitimate measures of Western powers and reject the violent management of the American president, Telesur reports.
According to the organization, the movements that will participate in the mobilization “rely on popular media” in order to raise the voice of those who “fight Trumpist attacks.”
