Alba condemns US piracy by attacking oil tanker

The Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America (ALBA) issued a statement in which it categorically condemns “the act of vulgar piracy” ordered by the Government of President Donald Trump, by assaulting and illegally confiscating an oil tanker off the coast of Venezuela.

The document published through the Telegram channel highlights that this fact constitutes a “very serious” violation of international law and a direct attack against the sovereignty of Venezuela. In addition to joining the dispossession of Citgo, which reveals that it is a looting strategy aimed at appropriating the energy resources of the Venezuelan nation.

After this new hostile act on the part of the US Government, the alliance demanded the immediate return of the ship and the cessation of all dispossession actions against the assets that belong to Venezuela.

It should be noted that countries such as Cuba and Russia have spoken out rejecting these actions ordered by Donald Trump, who made public the theft of the tanker.

Previously, in a statement released by Foreign Minister Yván Gil, Caracas strongly repudiated what it considers an assault confessed by the White House against an oil tanker in the Caribbean Sea.
