Alaver, Savings and Loan Associationlaunched its new awareness campaign in favor of savings within the framework of its 61st anniversary, under the motto “He who has his mattress, walks calmly.” The initiative, presented by Irlonca TavarezVice President of Business at Alaver and Keith ThomasCEO Chief Creative of Archipielago Creative Consultancy, is aimed at reinforcing savings as an essential basis for the development, investment and economic security of Dominican families.
During the event, which included the participation of key associates and clients, Tavárez highlighted the importance of savings in a challenging economic environment. «At Alaver, we firmly believe that savings is not only a pillar for personal well-being, but also for the economic growth of the country. Our campaign seeks to connect with the public in a close and simple way, promoting a culture of savings that allows families to be prepared for any eventuality,” said the executive.

The campaign concept revolves around the popular expression of having a “cushion”, referring to savings reserved for times of uncertainty. This metaphor resonates with traditional cultural practices, where people kept their savings at home to face future risks.
With a friendly and approachable approach, the campaign seeks not only to raise awareness about the importance of savings, but also to offer financial solutions adapted to the needs of each client.
According to recent studies, more than 50% of the Dominican population is in a vulnerable or barely surviving financial situation, which underlines the need to promote greater financial education. Furthermore, it is estimated that 35% of Dominicans keep their savings at home, far from the benefits and security offered by financial institutions like Alaver.
With this campaign, Alaver reaffirms its commitment of more than six decades to promoting savings and the sustainable economic development of the Dominican Republic. The institution will continue to launch initiatives and financial products that encourage savings and contribute to the well-being of its clients.
