The DNCD reported that from this moment on it is expanding its operational and action capacity, due to the large flow of passengers and merchandise, which for this Christmas season, increases in airports and ports.
The anti-narcotics agency decided to reinforce surveillance and interdiction operations at the Punta Cana International Airport, Las Américas, the terminals of La Romana, Cibao and Puerto Plata, as well as the ports of Caucedo, Haina Oriental and Monte Cristi.

It was announced that as the Christmas and New Year holidays approach, there will be a greater deployment of agents in their operational areas.
The president of the DNCD, Vice Admiral José M. Cabrera Ulloa, recently supervised the work carried out by the canine agents and pairs in the country’s air and port terminals.
The inspection tour, on the eve of the Christmas holidays, is part of the actions to continue improving the performance of operational personnel, vis-à-vis Dominicans and foreigners, who come to the country for this time of year.
